Karyn is a psychological therapist supporting people of all ages with a range of psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive behaviour, emotion dysregulation, low self-esteem, and phobias. She has a BSc (Hons) Psychology degree from the Open University, Postgraduate Diploma and Masters in Psychological Therapies (CBT) from the University of Edinburgh. Karyn is passionate about providing person-centred and compassionate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help clients reduce their psychological distress.
She believes therapy is a collaborative partnership, and strives to build an empathic and warm relationship based on a shared understanding of the client’s difficulties. Karyn guides clients to discover and develop tools to adapt their thoughts, behaviours, and emotional responses to improve mental health, and empowers clients to believe they can maintain positive change.
Karyn is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
