She has a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology from the university of Strathclyde and has a postgraduate certificate and diploma in Psychological Therapies from the University of Edinburgh. She is continuously enriching her knowledge to offer effective and up to date interventions.

Ashleigh’s therapeutic approach is characterised by collaboration where she actively involves individuals in their therapeutic journey. She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support individuals, tailoring methods to meet the unique needs of each client. By fostering a compassionate and empathetic therapeutic environment, Ashleigh aims to empower individuals to confront and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. Her passion lies in guiding individuals towards positive changes in their lives, helping clients to explore and understand the root causes of their challenges and providing them with tools and strategies to navigate these difficulties.

  • “I think the most significant positive change has been one of self-understanding. By gaining an awareness of what I feel and why I feel it, I have gained a deeper understanding of myself and my reactions. This has fostered greater empathy for myself, and helped me become more mindful of the decisions I make in my daily life. The skills developed by doing CBT allow me to stop anxious/unhelpful thoughts before they get out of control, and help me to speak to myself more kindly during moments of stress.”

  • “Ashleigh is always positive, empathetic and supportive. She is able to view the situations/emotions we discuss in a more nuanced way by adapting her perspective to align with my experience. I am always impressed by the degree of detail which she is able to recall naturally within conversation, which makes me feel that she is really hearing what I'm saying and making the effort to understand me holistically as a person. This means that during our conversations, the subjects of which can vary significantly.”

  • “Ashleigh is able to connect the matter at hand to different situations/emotions discussed previously. Even when we begin to address a 'new' topic in our sessions, it is clear to me that Ashleigh considers what we have discussed as she often returns with reading suggestions for me! Overall, I feel that Ashleigh strives to create an environment where I feel understood and heard.”

  • “I always feel listened to and understood in our sessions. I really appreciate the little touches like being offered a tea or coffee before our session. I also really enjoy having book and podcast recommendations that help me feel motivated. Ashleigh provides a welcoming and caring environment and I always look forward to our sessions as it helps me to process what’s going on in my life.”

  • “I was sceptical about the benefits of CBT to be honest, having tried it in the past and not getting much use out of it. But Ashleigh has been great, listening to my story and teaching me tools and techniques.”
